A visual description of how the business’ processes are clustered in process groups and how value is created on a very general level. The description is simplified and contains only process objects in a hierarchy, but it could be even arranged in the flow.
Purpose
The Process Description is used to navigate to underlying process models. It is used as base to illustrate how different processes collaborate in a larger context (End-to-End).
Way of Working
- Place the process group as a background
- Place the processes within respective process group, preferably according to a logical sequence from left to right.
- Place a process flow as a background to the process groups.
(A prerequisite is that the processes have been identified beforehand. This is an extensive job that does not fit into this box.)
