A visual description of how the process steps are clustered in processes. The description is simplified and shows only process objects in hierarchy, but can however also be placed in a flow.
Purpose
The process model is used to navigate to underlying process models. It is also used as a basis to illustrate how processes collaborate in a larger context (End-to-End).
Way of Working
- Place the processes as a background
- Place the process steps within respective process, preferably according to a logical sequence from left to right.
- Place a process group or a process flow as a background to the processes.
(A prerequisite is that the processes have been identified beforehand. This is an extensive job that does not fit into this box.)
