A visual description of how process groups are clustered in process areas. The description in strongly simplified and contains only process objects in a hierarchy, and it lacks flows.

Purpose

The process map is used to navigate to underlying process descriptions. It is used as base to illustrate how different processes collaborate in a larger context (End-to-End).

Way of Working

  1. Place the process areas as a background
  2. Place the process groups within respective process area, preferably according to a logical sequence from left to right.

(A prerequisite is that the process groups have been identified beforehand. This is an extensive job that does not fit into this box.)
