A process is a chain of activities which in a reoccurring flow create a value for one or multiple customers.
The processes of a business have medium durability compared to other dimensions (strategy, Information and application).
Processes are more stable the higher up in the hierarchy you are. Process Areas and Process Groups rarely change and Processes and Process Stages are too relatively stable with regard to the flows that create value.
Most sensible to change is level five, since it describes work procedures in detail. It is on this level that continuous improvements and automatizations are most clearly shown.
