A visual description of how applications in a certain application area are integrated with each other. The description is strongly simplified in order to provide clarification rather than describing the integrations in a correct way.
Purpose
The IM-view consists of integrations, usually in a particular application area.
This view is used to create understanding about the overall flow as well as to navigate towards other models.
Way of Working
- Choose some logically related application areas, for example from a flow or a process group
- Identify the applications which are included in the flow.
- Place those applications in a way that makes it easier to follow the flow at the same time that it is possible to group applications based on application area.
- Drag the relations from the data which is sent.
- Place the application areas as background.
