A visual description of which functionality an application should have expressed in the form functions which the business need. If needed, the description can even show how the information is produced with the help of its capabilities.

Purpose

The LAD-view is used to describe a functional framing for an application. Therefore, it consists of the basis for a functional requirement setting regarding the division in modules and grouping of functionalities.

Way of Working

  1. The scope of LAD-view is usually equivalent to a logical application (Level 2)
  2. The model itself is easy to create. The challenge is to make it the fundament of the analysis in the form of a logically built architecture for information and functionality, even called City Plan IT.
  3. The logical applications are identified usually through a business analysis from a service-oriented flow of information and business functions. (In the level 3)
