A visual description of the functionality which an application module should have expressed in the form of capabilities which the business needs as well as those that should become available for other systems in the form of application interfaces.
Purpose
The LAM-view could be used for describing a functional framing for the application. Therefore, it consists of the basis for a functional requirement setting regarding the division in the application modules and grouping of the functionality.
Way of Working
- The scope of LAM-view is usually equivalent to a logical application (level 2)
- The model itself is easy to create. The challenge is to make it the fundament of the analysis in the form of a logically built architecture for information and functionality, even called as City Plan IT.
- Those logical applications are usually identified through business analysis from a service-oriented flow of information and business functions (At level 3).
- In the same way, the functional capabilities are identified. But at the level 4.
The application where multiple modules are shown.
Application module where the descriptions of functional capabilities are shown directly in the model.
