An information entity model illustrates a detailed image of the business' information requirement and how the information relate to each other. The framing could be done per entity group, per information object or both, depending on what we want to show.
Purpose
An information entity model is used for describing business requirement for information.
Way of Working
- Identify the central business term (if it is not done already in a business term model).
- Determine if the business terms are qualified as information entities.
- Determine how information entities relate to each other.
- Determine the relations' cardinality and modality
- Rename the relations so that it can be read from the ''fork''
