A chain of activities that in a recurring flow create a value for one or multiple customers. Used in a broader sense and also includes Process Flow and Gate (logical decision point).

Core vs Extended



Description

It is what that is happening in the business operation, step for step, until the result is delivered to the customer and the customer is satisfied with it. A process has a well-defined destination. The process shall produce a specific value, that is a benefit for a specific actor - ''The process' customer''. Processes are repetitive meaning that they are done many times.
