A declaration about intention or desired end state for an organization and its stakeholders, in a high level. It is used in a general sense and even includes Critical Success Factor (CSF) and Alternative Course of Action.

Description

It describes a condition or situation in which something we have been trying to acheive is done, achieved or completed. Some example of goal would be an implemented process or application, a destination you have reached, a title you have been promoted to and so on. A goal is often set in a strategic level and then is broken down to tactical goals which in turn are broken down to operational goals.
